∙ 13y agoThis is quite a complicated question; there were many more albums released in the USA than in the UK. However, as only the UK releases were "approved" by the Beatles (for example, they would have listened to the final mixes and agreed the track order for the UK releases), the answer only considers those.
The top five selling Beatles albums are:
Abbey Road
Sgt Pepper
The Beatles (known as the White Album)
Rubber Soul
Revolver
If the Magical Mystery Tour compilation Album is included, then that would replace Revolver.
As to which are the best five Beatles albums, that's quite subjective. However, Sgt Pepper, Abbey Road, the White Album, Revolver, With The Beatles and Rubber Soul are often in the top ten albums of all time. Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road are widely considered their finest work, so you could pretty much pick any three from the 4 other ones.
