That is lo wash. Windshield washer fluid is low.
I believe you have a 2 high, 4 high and 4 low. There is no 2 low.
To engage 4x4 simply move the transfer case position handle from 2-hi to 4-hi and a low speed, or preferrably stopped. If you need 4-lo you must come to a complete stop and place the transmission in neutral. then shift to 4-lo. Reverse this procedure to get out. It is not advisiable to shift into 4wd unless the traction on the wheels may be comprimised. turning the vehicle while in 4wd and on a non forgiving surface may cause excess wear or damage to the 4x4 system.
It depends on which setting you select. 4 Part Time is basically rear wheel drive with the center diff acting as a limited slip diff. 4 Full Time is kind of like AWD, and suitable for every day driving. 4 Lo is only for off-road use.
Lo-lo-lo-lo Lola

2002 jeep liberty limited four wheel drive is stuck in 4 low how do I get it unstuck?

If it has a 2wd selection on the transfer case shifter, then yes. If it only has 4 hi and 4 lo, then no.
I have a 1998 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo and my horns honked just ever so often. Mine is located behind a shield on the front passenger side around the fog light area. I also found out I could not get the hi and lo horns (has two) in stock anywhere. I could order them, but, were for different jeep model (not Laredo). I went to a large salvage yard and found out that the Oldsmobile, Pontiac, dodge, crysler (jeep) have the same electrical wiring plugs. Took off the whole mounting bracket, took the horns and had them tested. Only one worked. Replaced them both to be safe with one Oldsmobile and one Pontiac. They work great and cost $10.00 for them. I laugh and say I have an opie horn now.........I am an okie (from Oklahoma). A little humor. Hope this helps.

Hottie in a Jeep was first released by a band called Awry. A new version just came out by an artist called lo def.
I bet it made a nice grinding sound didnt it? Yes, it can if you are going too fast. If it actually goes into low gear it will seriously spike the rpms and potential valve and lifter damage. This is what a rev limiter helps avoid though. If the engine sounded like it started sputtering when this happened then it is a good thing. It is one of those situations that you just have to let it go to see if it breaks. Good luck.
It is probably the lo wash (low washer fluid) light.
