Was acdc a good rock band?

When the band started they would have been considered heavy metal, but with the of music over the last 40 or so years Ac/Dc now fit more into the "rock" compared to some of the "heavier" genres that exist now. These heavier genres can have characteristics including (but not limited to ) deeper/growling vocals, more heavily distorted Guitars, down-tuned guitars, darker lyrical content and faster tempo.

There are a lot of bands that sound like AC/DC. Try Airbourne, Rhino Bucket, Jackyl all sound like AC/DC. Also Brian Johnson used to be in Geordie.
