The finished scenes that make up our favorite TV programs are but a tip of the iceberg. Many scenes are shot numerous times in order to get the one that is perfect according to what the director wants. If the actors drank real alcohol they would be too drunk to finish the day's work. Apple juice makes a great stand-in for beer and whiskey and although the actors may have to take extra trips to the 'outhouse', they are at least able to finish the requested dialog without slurring their words.

What is the difference between draught beer and normal beer?

Technically speaking, draught beer is beer served from the cask in which it has been conditioned. This term has been applied, loosely, to any beer served from a large container or keg.
