It depends on what youre looking for and who you ask. however, here are the facts. Fender is primarily a guitar manufacturer so their instruments will probably be better than the amps the build.(Personally i LOVE a fender tube amp.) while Marshall is SOLELY an amplifier and effects manufacturer so they will always trump fender in their amplifier business. Hope this helps, -Kyse
The frontman is not good for metal but is great for jazz, blues and classic rock. If you want screaming metal or heavey grunge sounds get a Marshall or peavey. Personally, I prefer tube amps. I play indie Blues (pack AD. White stripes, black keys) and needed a cheap amp LOUD. The frontman at $150 used for 100 watts is the cheapest "Fender" sound around. Sure I could bring my 68 Twin Reverb on gigs... But if someone spills beer on it I'm out 3 grand. The frontman is a cheap, light (1/4 the weight of a twin) and loud amp for gigging that can be easily upgraded with better speakers to make it sound anyway you want. But if Zak Wyled or Dimebag Darrel are your heroes... You won't want a Fender.
No, they are better.
no matter how much thought rise due to this question,,the answer will stop at JIM MORRISON . Jim morrison was not the best but nobody can be him ,,like him.he is the greatest frontman of all time,,,, but when it comes to the band its LED ZEPPELIN that takes it away,,man they have got preety good line up,,even better than THE DOORS
Fender for Hendrix Epihone for Zeppelin and ACDC Ibanez is more on the metal side of things. It really depends on what music you are looking at basically Fender for more blues and Ibanez is more of the Metal types.
