The Answer, I believe, is really quite simple. THEY. rock The answer is painfully obvious if you put your mind to it. The band's chord progressions are elementary: I've never heard an AC/DC song that uses chords that are not I, IV, V, or VI.

Also, their songs have a subject matter that are quite elementary: Sex, drugs, and beating people up is what AC/DC is all about. I would challenge any person currently reading this article to find an AC/DC song that is not about those three items (A candybar to the one who does).

An answer from someone who knows what he is talking about:AC/DC were a rock n roll band. Rock n Roll is about sex, drugs and beating people up. AC/DC didn't even do heavy drugs, just alchohol and smoking. There albums sold in the millions, Angus Young was one of the best Guitarists of all time, his live act and solos were amazing, and the vocalists were perfectly fit for rock n roll. As for songs not about the above
