John was a vivacious, funny, intelligent man. At times he could be cruel but deep down he had a wonderful heart. He was a complex man and sometimes hypocritical as we all are at times. He was simply human. In his youth he was rather angry. He'd been through a lot in his young life by the time he was famous. He loved cats and he was often kind to strangers. He cared about his fans and never forgot where he came from. He preached peace and love yet neglected his own son Julian from his first marriage until just before his death when he and Julian were just getting to become close. He tried to be a better father to his son, Sean, born on John's 35th birthday in 1975. Many say he changed when he met and married Yoko Ono. I think he simply grew up. Say what you will about John. I think he was deep down a good, generous, kind, incredible musical genius and an all around good man. He was simply human like the rest of us though. He'll never be forgotten.
