No... it is not the one mentioned below.. By Nate Bliss. Why is it when you hear a song a lot, you wonder about it and rarely hear it again?! Wow. thanks for the help though. Nope... It isn't Mary Lou Williams either. It is a man singing it.... hmmm. thanks though. the artist is Mary Lou Williams, album The Black Christ of the Andes.

and see if this is the one you mean.

It's called "The Devil as a Woman" by Nate Bliss

- wjs1632 - I hae been looking online for a song that sounds really similar to the one this question is referring to. The singer sounds A LOT like Creedence Clearwater Revival. Matter of fact I heard an interview on a radio staion a few months back with the singer on how they were aware that it sounded like that, but it wasn't intended. I love that song, cannot for thelife of me remember the singer.. or exact title! It isn't the one on the link though. It isn't that old... I would guess late 70's maybe 80's??? I believe the song you're referring to above is "Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress) by The Hollies. It does sound alot like CCR, and DJ's hardly ever mention the song title the few times it plays.

Eddy Raven did a kick-ass version of it...I assumed he wrote it but apparently not.
