Most Filipinos, trace their origins back to the Yunnan Province of China. This is the original lineage started. Yunnan is not only the origin of Filipinos, but MANY other ethnicities in Southeast Asia as well. Vietnamese, Malays, Khmers (Cambodians), Thai and Burmese all trace their origins back to the Yunnan Province. Same with Filipinos. These type of Chinese, were brown-skinned Chinese people.

MADAGASCAR, AFRICA

Another place of origin, for Austronesian people is the African island of Madagascar. Since Filipinos are Austronesian speakers, they have some African descent from Madagascar as well since this island is also a place where many Austronesian speakers are thought to have originated. Austronesians from Madagascar, sailed east reaching the Malay Archipelago. The reached the Philippines as well, becoming one of the first inhabitants of the Philippines. There were already pre-historic people in the Philippines at the time.

CHINESE LINEAGE REACHES TAIWAN AND PHILIPPINES

There was an Immigration to Taiwan, where the Chinese intermingled with the Taiwanese aboregines. The origin continued, and reached the Philippine Archipelago. The lineage, continued even further south into what is now Malaysia, Brunei and the Indonesian Archipelago where they became the ethnic Malays and ethnic Javanese. This is why Malays and Filipinos look like "twins". Not because Filipinos are ethnic Malays! But because Filipinos and Malays share the same origin. Just like Spanish, Portuguese and Italian people. The Chinese-Taiwanese lineage then reached the Philippines, and intermingled with the indegenous African Austronesians who had already settled there. Today, Negritos still remain a minority African-Filipino ethnic group in the Philippines.
