The answer is different for every person. The best musicians could play on a Wal Mart special Trumpet and make it sound like a Monet. However, for most musicians, the most satisfaction will come from playing a high quality instrument, such as the Bach Stradivarius, or the Yamaha Xeno. Personally, I play a Bach Strad, and love it. However, my trumpet instructor swears by the Yamaha Xeno. There are several other reputable brands available, but I have found these to be the best.
