system of a down sings way faster. slipknot on the other hand just grunts and yells and it makes them sound fast. if you want proof that SOAD (that's system of a down) sings faster look up the song IEAIEAO
-Black Veil Brides -Jimmy Eat World -Slipknot -Blood on the Dance Floor -My Chemical Romance -Avenged Seven Fold -The Offspring -Disturbed -The Devil Wears Prada -Linkin Park -System of a Down -Blink-182

Currently there are two separate projects made by the former members of System of a Down- Scars on Broadway (S.o.B) which is run by Daron Malakian (former S.O.A.D guitarist/vocalist) and John Dolmayan (S.O.A.D drummer), and Serj Tankian's solo albums. I highly recommend that you check out Scars on Broadway as it has so much of the classical System of a Down feeling (the lyrics, beat and guitar will be a dead giveaway.) On another note, you may want to check out Vampires on Tomato Juice, as well as the project artist No-one on Youtube. They have made themselves sound a lot like System of a Down, and I'm sure you will enjoy.
If you want the nine guy line up you see today the albulm is called slipknot (self titled) If you want the slipknot with donnie steele and Andrew confelsi it is mate feed kill repeat it is a demo albulm which only could sold a thousand copy's but if you still want it here's a link http://slipknot-metal.com/main.php?sk=discography scroll all the way down
This is a matter of one's opinion, a lot of people like SOAD while others like Slipknot.
Similar bands such as Slipknot, limp bizkit, disturbed, system of a down, mudvayne have all done shows with LP
Modern metal bands with great popularity today include Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Slipknot, Disturbed, Lamb of God, System of A Down, and All That Remains.

Mall-core is a genre of metal that is frequently looked-down upon by other types of metal enthusiasts/musicians. Basically, it's mainstream metal, the kind you would see sold in big-name stores. Two mall-core bands I know of are Slipknot and System of a Down.
