Furthermore, near the end of the third book of the series, Simon was given the Mark of Cain by Clarissa Fray to protect him, but it cursed him by letting him live as a wanderer as long has he has the mark on him. However, he has it removed when he asks for the Archangel Michael's Sword for him to be able to break the 'bond' Jace has with Sebastian. Finally, near the end of the fifth book o the Mortal Instruments, he has his immortality and all knowledge of Shadow hunters, including Clarissa, to be able to get everyone out of the demon realm of Edom.
