for acoustic Guitars it is indian and brazilian rosewood, sitka and red spruce, mahogany, koa, maple, and in more expensive guitars; ivory, ebony, alder, and even diamond inlays in the fretboard. types of bone such as ivory are usually used as the bridge and the pins. the woods i listed are used for the top, bottom, fretboard, neck, and sides. almost all of those woods can be used as thes guitar parts. it also depends on the body type of the guitar. smaller scaled guitars may need a wood that resonates more than a wood such as ebony, while jumbo sized guitars fit very well with it. hope this helps!

For an electric guitar

For the body: A good block of wood, either mahogany, basswood, alder, ash any decent bit of hardwood really.

For the neck: Usually maple wood and rosewood for the fingerboard, you'll also need metal for the frets (fretwire is about 20% nickel, 80% copper).

Then all the components eg pickups, machine heads etc, knobs are mainly metal and plastics.
