grammy
Elvis Presley sang "Old Shep" for his high school talent show, where he performed it with heartfelt emotion. Despite his performance, he did not win the competition; he placed second, losing to a classmate who played the accordion. This early experience, however, marked the beginning of his journey into music and performance.
The King of Rock 'n' Roll won three Grammy Awards for gospel recordings. He won for the albums "How Great Thou Art" (1967) and "He Touched Me" (1972), and for his live concert recording of "How Great Thou Art" (1974).
The song is "Jailhouse Rock" and yes, it takes place in a jail. The song was written to be the theme for a movie starring Elvis Presley, who was a HUGE star, especially with teenagers at that time (1957). The lyrics, sung by Elvis, are about how the warden threw a party for the inmates, and he used rock music to win over the "jailbirds" (prisoners), several of whom got so caught up in the music that they didn't even want to escape when they had a chance. The song was not only a fun rock and roll song, but it reinforced the theme of the movie-- that rock music could have positive effects on people (even inmates). The movie itself was about a young prisoner (played by Elvis) whose musical talents help him to turn his life around and become a success.
Yes, the story behind Carl Perkins winning a Cadillac from Elvis Presley is well-documented in music history. In December 1955, Perkins was involved in a car accident while on tour with Elvis. As a gesture of goodwill, Elvis gifted Perkins a pink Cadillac as a replacement for his damaged vehicle. This event is often referenced in popular culture, including Drive-By Truckers' song.
Yes, he just did (September 9, 2011). Elvis' Christmas Album has finally been awarded the long overdue Diamond Award!

Elvis Presley because he used to get $100,000 a day for working due to the various gigs he performed across the globe. Winnie the Pooh was very popular as a TV show however in terms of recognition I'd say Elvis is more famous. Disney bought the copyright for Winnie the Pooh in 1961, but before that Winnie the Pooh was an actual live bear, who ultimately had stories written about him. A.A. Milne wrote his first story about this bear approximately 1926. Pooh has been put into 33 different languages, making this bear more well known world-wide. Now to decide which is more famous, it depends on which country you come from. The stories of the bear would give Elvis plenty of competition of which was more famous. If you are of the music world, you chose would be Elvis, if you were of the literary world, you might choose Winne the Pooh. As time as gone on, Elvis is of the past, Pooh continues to be a source on the front burners. If you choose now, 2013, to compare the word WHO IS MORE FAMOUS, I think Pooh would win. Many people have grown up not knowing who Elvis is. The first Pooh movie had a narrator telling his story. As time went on, characters began to have speaking parts and develop with personalities. Money wise, I believe it will be Pooh who has more money to count, and will continue to be famous to infinity. Elvis' shortened life meant his treasures to the music and movie world will be in repeats. Disney has the better of the deal....BUT it is still an individual decision on which you like best, figure which is more dominate in your life. Elvis or Pooh.
ERMMM.... I thought that answer was very Obvious Michael Jackson OF COURSE !!!!!!!!!!
