Well actually it isnt g finger string its g fingering well u just put down three fingers on the d string. And there are more g's
On the G, you put your second finger down and right next to it you put your third finger(ring finger). That is a low C. On the A string, you put your first finger down in it's normal position and then place your second finger right next to it. On the E string, you go up to third position and put your second finger down in it's spot as a B and put your third finger right next to it. Voila!

I don't think so. The viola (I think) is an octive lower then the violin. I think. I am not realy sure. Please look it up. Sources I am a 30 year old violin teacher.

To fix it, you would have to loosen the peg the broken string is on to pull it out. I'm not so sure about the rest, but look for near-by music stores that could help you more.
