What happen to the 1960 rock band called smith?

My name is Ben Gardner, I owned a studio, produced, and published music on the west coast. I met, became good friends, with Jerry Carter, his former wife Terri Carter, Rich Cliburn, in various music venues. When I first met the trio using the name "A Group Called Smith", they were working in a extended gig (10 years), at a Country Music lounge in Albany, Oregon. Albany, was my adopted home town, so I knew most all entertainers in the area. The last I knew of Rich Cliburn,(approx 1997) he was still residing in Albany, and rarely played any gigs. His wife of many years, I was told, moved away, and I regretfully have not yet corresponded with Rich. I hope to do so soon. Jerry Carter, and his wife Terri broke up prior to Rich and his ex.. Jerry told me he was quite ill and was not very optimistic regarding his future health. I again have fail to keep updated, and in an effort to contact Terri, who is a seasoned drummer, and vocalist, I found this questionaire, and thus trying to give those interested some insight to two of the founding members of "A Group Called Smith".
