Just read that Fran had her last morning on Terry Wogan's show on May 9th. Reasons are said to be private between BBC Radio Two management according to what you read on the internet.
Apparently she's still on Radio Two, last heard reading the news at 1pm.
The real facts are very interesting indeed. She was said to be on very friendly terms with a good number of blokes, including a number of top executives in and out of the media.
One radio company board member was heard to comment that this is why she's so thin.
