In August of 1953 Elvis goes into "The Memphis Recording Service" (otherwise known as Sun Records), a recording studio in Memphis that would allow anyone to come in and record a song for a fee, and records two songs. They are: My Happiness and "That's When Your Heartaches Begin". Elvis paid the sum of $4.00 (four dollars US).

Elvis' first record that was released by Sun Records was "That's All Right (little mamma)" and "Blue Moon of Kentucky" in 1954.
