There was a virtual Tidal-wave of this stuff in the Main Rock era, when Hard Rock succeeded the softer stuff based loosely on country and western. - Okay Black Sabbath probably takes the cake with a Devil-worshipping thematic. there were songs with some weird titles also such as White Room ( the Morgue), Paint It Black- which seems to be about the funeral of a girl, who is the friend of the singer- these two songs will work out well together one after the other. ( I could not foresee this thing happening to you- and another line- I see a line of cars and they are pained Black- so there is no ( wakeup turnaround) trick ending. it is obviously about a funeral cortege.I like the last line, vaguely optimistic- If I look hard enough into the separate Son ( or setting sun, I think it"s the former, a religious vibe) My love will last with me before the morning ( or mourning) comes. it"s a morbid song, bloke.
