You need to provide more information. For example, is it a Browning "high Power"? The single most important factor when determining gun values is condition. The standard is as follows:NIB= new in the box. It can be any age but it is unfired and in the original factory carton with all original paperwork. Excellent=AT LEAST 98% condition with respect to finish, bore, grips, etc. No alterations of any kind. Very Good=92% or better finish, grip wear, bore, and must be in working condition but may have has some small alterations or repairs. But NOT reblued. Good= 80% or better finish, grips, etc. Factory replacement parts are accepted. The gun must be working and safe. Fair=Satisfactory condition and safe to shoot. 30% or more finish, etc. Repairs, alterations, refinishing, would place a firearm in this category. There is not much interest in guns in this category. Poor= Little interest in these firearms except in cases of rare or historic guns, or for parts. Little finish left, rust, corosion, may not be safe to shoot. Many books are available on the subject of evaluating guns. You may wish to see what people are actually paying for your particular gun by viewing an on line auction site such as gunsamerica or gunbroker. But be careful to see that the gun has actually sold, not just an asking price. Regards, King Karl
