Sumerians are the ancient people from the Mesopotamian area (present-day Iraq) who invented written language, the wheel, and many other things that helped form civilizations. Believe it or not, the Sumerians claimed that humanity is the result of a genetic experiment. They believe that aliens came to Earth to harvest gold to replenish the atmosphere of their home world. This is theoretically possible because gold can be used to oxidize carbon monoxide, causing oxygen to be released into the atmosphere. Initially, the aliens mined the gold personally, but later they agreed to mix their DNA with the DNA of prehistoric man. According to the Sumerian tablets, man revered these aliens as living gods. It was not slavery at all, as man benefited greatly from the knowledge of the aliens and was happy to be of service. Many ancient cultures around the world believe their gods came down from outer space and created us to harvest gold.
