if taken care of and driven nicely 300,000 easy
addition# If it has the 4.0 liter straight 6 engine, life expectancy can exceed that of the factory standards by quite a bit. Can have transmission problems if wheel diameter is increased beyond 29 inches without strengthening of the transmission and transfer case (depending on which Dana axles came stock and which transmission you have stock). Proper maintenance and care is always a factor. But just remember Jeeps don't break, they give you opportunities to upgrade them
There is no average life span......all depends on how much cash you have to keep the black boxes operating and the engine turning over.
My 95 has 234K miles on it and its a POS but it was one at 98K too so go figure...
Sorry for being negative but.....experience....
BTW........why would you ask such a question?
I have a 99 Jeep Cherokee, and it is still going strong at 193000 miles, all depends on how ya take care of it though. and yes it is a POS
almost forever if you take care of it the engine wil go 350,000 with proper maintenance and the transmission is indestructable i WA s Jeep technician for ten years and never saw a transmission out of a Cherokee for repair.they have solid axles which are very durable.
I have 117,700 miles on mine and it still runs strong. I got the 4.7L V8 engine, so it sucks down the gas the gas quicker than the other vehicles I had. I posted this question because I'm curious to see how long I should be able to keep my Jeep as long as I take proper care and scheduled maintenance/oil changes on it.
My 93 has 203K miles, 95 has 253K miles, 98 5.9 Limited has 167K miles. I don't know!
I don't know if my Jeep is typical but.... I just reached 300,000 miles on my 2001 Laredo.
Up to 400,000 miles if maintained properly. Conservative estimate is 200,000 miles.
200,000 miles is well with in reach.
200,000
