difference between Laredo and renegade besides all that extra chrome,the cj7 Laredo was considered the top of the line. plus the insurance was at the high end.( i know, because i had a few special ordered and the insurance was even higher than my vette).the main thing was all the chrome work. front and rear bumperettes,rims,radiator grill cover with blackpinstriping,all interior gauges,seats were accented with 2 toned silver trimwork,glovebox had Laredo letter applique in silver,shifter knobs had chrome trim,had the extra 2 inch lift,hood tie down and latches were chrome,chrome door handles on the hardtop with deep smoke tinted glass,seats were highback leather as was the center console insert,usually tilt and Power Steering,premium sound system,20 gal tank instead of the 16 gallon tank,and finally a ball hitch.hope this helps out
