Just so you know, this is a very controversial topic among Christians today. So be warned - I might take a while to explain (sorry)! :)
"Worldly" music is music that makes you feel good, entertains you, and, in general, attracts your attention to something visual or sensual. For example, attracting your attention to you boyfriend or girlfriend, making you feel "soft and fuzzy" inside, etc. I'm not saying all "worldly" music is wrong, because as a teenager, I'm certainly no expert!
(I hope I'm not sounding too philosophical!)
"Church" music or "Christian" music, however, focuses your attention on God (Jesus Christ) and what He did for us. (For more info God and The Bible, take a look at this website...answersingenesis.org)
Now, the thing is, some "Christian" music does not focus on God but on the something else instead (for example, the actual music or musicians). So, this begs the question "Is this really Christian Music?"
You decide.

The Council of Trent specified that music in churches should for sacred purposes. The distinctions between secular, worldly music and sacred music, and their functions were made clear. What goes on in Church should be the worship of God, be it preaching, singing, liturgical dancing music or ritual.

First, I wish to encourage the person that sent this question in to stay in school! The word pertaining to music is not "circular", it's SECULAR! Secular music and worldly music is essentially the same. Secular music is rock, pop, r&b, hip hop, and so on. Non-secular music is usually pertaining to gospel music.
