I'm sure there are many more small differences, but the most noticeable difference between the two is the switch from a Bendix OBD computer over to a Chrysler OBD computer. Apparently the Chrysler computer is the better of the two because the power rating jumped from 177hp to 190hp. 1990 Cherokees and Comanches still had alot parts under the hood labeled AMC (American Motors Corp.) I believe this was also eliminated in 1991.
