Guitarists' pay depends entirely on how successful they are. Local bands usually need another job, while signed bands or prominent unsigned bands can make a living off of concerts and selling of recordings.
There is a huge amount of variation in this area. For one it could be above the six-figure-high-waterline, and for another it could be nothing. To my knowledge, most artists are paid under some sort of contract under which they receive a monthly amount for X months or years.
depends. if your a street guitarist that plays with a band no one knows ; probly not a lot. 20 bucks a gig tops.
if your popular to your community and you can play well a gig can be about 100 to 200 bucks.
now if your a master and a popular record company is yours and if you have fans around the U.S ( and/or other countries) millions
it doesnt work that way. if your in a good band, youll be paid higher. if you suck, your income is nothing.
