It is about breaking away from bad influences, such as parents, friends, drugs, in your life and going to higher places.
Break is also about taking control of your life and making your own choices after a bad situation. Break's message is whether the situation in your life is good or bad, it's up to you to make a change and break out of it.

∙ 13y agoThe song Pain by Three Days Grace is about feeling like you're constantly numb and cannot feel emotion to the things around you, because of your actions. Pain is a song about wanting to overcome that feeling of pain and numbness.

I think the song is about someone who suffers from a form of psychosis. (this could be schizophrenia) That causes him/her to perceive voices whispering, as well as suffer from vivid hallucinations. Seeing and hearing voices that are just in their heads.
It could also be about a ghost in a haunted hotel or house yeah.
