Any where from $260 to $375 is a fair price.
The fair price for a used Gemeinhardt Series 3 flute typically ranges from $300 to $600, depending on its condition, age, and whether it includes accessories like a case or cleaning supplies. Factors such as any repairs or maintenance history can also influence the price. It's advisable to compare listings on platforms like eBay or local music stores to gauge the market value. Always try to negotiate based on the flute's specific condition and your budget.

You can find good inexpensive flutes at www.playmusic123.com. I bought the D'Luca Flute; it is a silver plated flute great for students. You can find it here: http://www.playmusic123.com/D%27LUCA+SILVER+PLATED+FLUTE%2C+DLC-FL-1~product~1846.htm Hope it helps!! Hey, I have a gemeinhardt student flute and it cost me only $90 used. Gemeinhardt is a great brand. My music teacher recommended it. Some flutes can cost up to 20,00 dollars though. Other good brands are Armstrong and Yamaha! hey same here, i got a brand new gemeindart student flute and it cost me $380 plus tax..but i definetelly think that it would be a good idea to get a second hand one because there is no point in paying so much money for it unless ur a professional player well i kinda am a little cheep i went to a pond shop and bought mine for around 150 $ it was a new flute though so i think it was a good price
Being that the age of this flute is over 50 years, it has probably reached its lifetime. The M2 flutes are a student model as well, also taking a chunk out of its value. Depending on the metals with which it was made, either silver or nickel plated, the value may vary quite a bit. The nickel plated M2's are not as resonant and tend to play fuzzier than the silver variety. However, old flutes do tend to fall into desrepair more often and may be very expensive to bring back to playability. If you are considering purchasing an old M2, I would advise against it. If you are considering upgrading to a newer flute and/or selling your Gemeinhardt, I highly recommend a Yamaha flute. They have a variety of models and a price range for everyone. Your M2 might sell for 100-180 on eBay, again depending on its condition and metals. For more information about the general value of this instrument, try going to eBay or an online dealer of used instruments and check out the going rate for your 1960 instrument. I hope I helped! -Heather

I got my flute for about 2,000 dollars. The higher advanced the higher the price. It also depends on the brand.

Cheap flutes are not good flutes, but Bundy makes a pretty usable flute at a lower price.
Emperor is generally considered a good flute brand, especially for beginners and intermediate players. They offer a range of flutes that provide solid construction and decent sound quality at an affordable price. While they may not be as renowned as high-end brands like Yamaha or Pearl, they are often recommended for those starting their musical journey. Overall, Emperor flutes can be a reliable choice for students and hobbyists.
fake brand
Yes it is. The Sonare flute has a Powell Headjoint. The most importat part of the flute is the headjoint and Sonare is a division of Powell flutes, one of the top brands in flute. (well i consider it to be one of the top three brands) I have the Sonare 7000 (recent model 700) sterling silver flute. I tried my friends Powell signature flute and it is quite similar (ie. the same headjoint, feeling, sound, tone) I have tried the 700 model but I still prefer the 7000 over 700 cause i have small fingers and the keys are alot easier to cover. The Powell Signature Flute is way easier to play on than the sonare but it is very similar. for a price like that on a flute, it is quite a deal! had it for six years and i love it.
