What is the proper way to string a guitar?

if its nylon strings where they feel almost like plastic, you tie them at the bridge and than make them go up the neck of the guitar than twist until their tuned. My best advice is to YouTube it.

I believe, (you should double check this) that you start from the outside in. The two outside strings being the longest and the two inside being the shortest.
