The security codes for each radio are unique. There will be a card with the number in the original manual supplied with the vehicle when purchased new. There you will also find the procedure for unlocking the radio. If you do not have the original card containing the code you may go to your nearest Mercedes Benz dealer with I.d and proof of ownership of the vehicle and they will be able to get the code and tell you the procedure.
Each car radio has its own individual code, therefore there's no exact answer for this. Just open the car manual and most likely there will be a small silver card inside of the booklet that tells you what the radio code is. Otherwise, go to your local dealer and they will reset it for you. There are a few sites on the web that can provide the information in around 30 mins with simply your VIN #. The cost ranges from $5 to $25. Your dealer will not provide the info based on your vin over the phone as they want proof of ownership (makes sense). So to me it was worth paying to avoid a trip to the dealership and not have to try and find my radio serial number.
To turn off mute on a Mercedes CLK 320 radio, locate the "MUTE" button on the radio or steering wheel controls. Press the button once to unmute the audio. If the audio is still muted, check the volume knob and turn it up to ensure sound is restored. Additionally, you can also try toggling the radio source or turning the system off and back on.
Based on all of the information given in the question, our guess is that it's broke.
Check to see if radio has 2 slots on both bottom corners of radio. Then you will need mb radio keys to insert into slots to release locks. then radio will come straight out.

The radio security code for a 2001 Mercedes-Benz ML320 is typically a four-digit code that is unique to each vehicle. If you have lost the code, you can retrieve it by checking the vehicle's owner manual or contacting a Mercedes-Benz dealership with your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Some vehicles may also display the code on the radio unit itself after a reset.
To reset the radio code on a 2002 Mercedes SLK 320, you typically need to turn on the ignition without starting the engine, then turn on the radio. If the radio displays "CODE," you can enter the code using the radio buttons. If you don't have the code, you may need to refer to the owner's manual or contact a Mercedes dealership for assistance, as they can provide the necessary code based on your vehicle's VIN.

To reset the radio in a 2004 Mercedes CLK 320, you can try disconnecting the car's battery for about 10-15 minutes, then reconnect it. This may reset the radio settings. Alternatively, if your radio is locked, you may need to enter a security code, which is typically found in the vehicle's manual or given by a dealership. Always consult the owner's manual for specific instructions related to your model.
your radio will probably ask for a code which can be obtained from your mechanic or dealership. After entering the code press the scan button and it should work
I have a 1999 so it may be a little different. After you type the 5 digit code you push the radio button directly under the OK on your radio screen.
Drive to the dealership and give the service dept. the VIN number and they will dispurse the info for free......
