Go to Mercedes- Benz dealer, they will ask u for vin number, then they will give u the code.
Yes I need the code to reset the radio in 1996 e class 320
The brake pads are getting thin. That sensor is for the brake pads.
how to reset remote key fob for Mercedes SL 320
unless MB has changed their policy...you have to visit an MB dealer with proof that you own the car and your driver's license...and of course the radio or s/n to the radio. It's much like asking for a spare key. They usually make you fill out a simple form with all the info before they release codes or keys. However, if you can find a car radio shop with experience with MB radios, they might be able to help you. This is a free service at MB...at least it was a few years ago when I needed their services. In any event, you're probably not that happy with the limitations of these factory radios. Everyone I know has replaced these expensive dinosaurs with digital upgrades which offer better sound quality, and all the modern features that are becoming a neccessity these days. There's nothing like a new digital tuner with a couple of hundred watt amps and some poly 3 way speakers...I love my JBL's. I suggest you check out a local radio store and check some of these units out if you can...you'll be hooked. Remember, if you do decide to up-grade, hold on to the factory radio...keep it with the car. Its good for the re-sale. Good luck.
There is none.
You can't. Only someone with one of those MB's computer hook ups can reset those lights. All the systems are run through the car's computers, which are controlled and interface with MB and their computers. Or, you can remove the light bulb if you know how to remove the instrument cluster. MB resets this light when you bring the car in for service. I have a 2002 sl500....and I had a leak in the hydraulic roof locking system which I didn't know about until I couldn't completely put the top down. The hydraulic pump shut itself down, preventing it from burning itself out. Well, I had to take the car back to MB and have it reset via their computer. That was the only way it could be done. I know MB and BMW have in the past couple of years created a computer interface system with their cars...you can no longer avoid the dealership with these late model cars As a matter of fact, BMW took it a step further...they diagnose you car via a satellite link to their factory in Germany, and you don't even have to go to the dealership....BIG BROTHER IS HERE.
hood release is pulled from the inside of the vehicle near the front of the door opening by your feet. then look for a pull tab under the MB star on the front grill.

I do believe you have to get this from the dealership.
a bad radio??
Getting free info on this will be difficult, standard car computer systems interfaces didnt get standardized until the 90s, but I have worked with onboard ECU's and would make the guess that if you have replaced the 02 sensor, as they do go bad, the default way to reset this is to disconnect the battery power for a minute or so, disclaimer: only someone trained in how to service battery connections should attempt this using proper tools and eye protection. Before the hood of any car is even opened, the person looking at the engine should wear safety goggles. That being said, in most ECU's when the power is reset there will be a training phase where the ECU learns how the engine is performing and adjusts itself. So repowering the ECU then driving for a while may clear the light. MB is different, they will go far beyond what standard vehicles do, so there could be a specific reset switch or maybe its a fuse that has to be pulled for a few seconds, or it could be that a MB adjustment must be performed to dial in the new 02 sensor where the custom electronic tester must connect to and calibrate this in the ECU. 02 sensors are very sensitive, too rich of a mixture could quickly wear them out; never spray or add anything to clean the engine or injectors unless you make sure with MB that its safe, using the wrong kind of "injector cleaner" could ruin your $150 02 sensor in seconds
Try disconnecting the battery for 1 hour. This should reset the check engine light on this vehicle as it is OBD1.
