What is the radio unlock procedure for a 2005 Chevy uplander?

1. Press and hold presets 2 & 3 for about 10 seconds until the first 3 digits of the display code are displayed.

2. Write the numbers down.

3. Press the AM/FM button, write down the next 3 numbers.

4. Call 1-800-537-5140, when asked, enter 620529, press the # button and enter the 6 digit code from the radio, you will get an unlock code, write it down.

5. Go back to the car, press the HR button and set the first 2 numbers, then press minute button and set the next two last numbers, press AM/FM button, SEC should be displayed, turn on radio.

To remove customers code, repeat step 5. you should see --- on radio face, the code is now out of the radio.

There are important things to consider. first, the only way to get and provide the code for a 2005 Malibu is if it was locked because of the battery being discounted or going dead. If your radio is locked because you purchased a used one or your replacing your body control module you have to take it to the dealership. This is because the radio is linked to the vin and if these things change course it will not unlock. If its because of the battery follow these directions

Hold the 2 and 3 button or 1 and 4 button down for 10 seconds and you will see a 2-3 digit code number. Write it down quickly because it will go back to reading LOC shortly. Then press the AM/FM button and another code number will pop up. Write this down. Once you have this code number call 1800-537-5140 then you can use this dealership code 202105*( make sure you push the star) then it will prompt you to enter that 4-6 digit number followed by the star sign again. Then it will give you your unlock code. Go back to the car and hit the HR button for a few seconds, then enter the first 2 numbers of your unlock code, then hit the MN button and enter the second 2 numbers. After that hit the am/FM button and it should read SEC. Your radio should pop on shortly. If you are not able to enter numbers, or retreive the code, its a RDM radio and it has to go to the dealership.

Yes! I had the same problem. Try 6361. Worked for my 2004 Forenza, hope it does for yours also.

Dealer has given code for each car when you purchase the car.

I have my own code and it work for my car every time.
