The prey is initially chewed and mixed with saliva which starts the digestive process. After the foodis chewed and broken down into smaller pieces, it passes into the oral cavity which is lined with numerous hairs and enzymes producing cells. The hairs strain out any indigestible food.

Only predigested food passes from the oral cavity into the pharinx and then into the oesophagus and stomach.

Digestion takes place in the stomach which occupies most of the mesosoma and part of the prosoma.

The digestive gland also provides a storage place for food reserves.

Because it is strained through hairs in the oral cavity, a scorpion's food contains very little indigestibe matter. As a result, scorpions produce very little fecal matter and loose very little water.

The fecal matter of scorpions is liquid white in color.

Hope this helps
