One neck is a regular six string, the other is twelve strings.
depends on brands, I saw one on craigslist today for 500 dollars canadian, an epiphone one about 1000$ new i've seen locally in a real guitar store. Usually on a double neck guitar one is a 6 string and one is a 12 string. All a 12 string is is a 6 string guitar, but for every string there's an octave higher string right next to it, and when you play you hold both those strings down at the same time, giving you a little fuller and different sound than a 6 string. So I guess the player just switches when he wants to between the two. However, some double-necks vary in number of strings. If you really want to play, go and buy a basic do-it-yourself double-neck guitar teaching book...like i did....
The neck of a guitar as no other name than that -- the neck. This is the part of the guitar that connects the body to the head of the instrument. Located on the neck are the frets and the fretboard. In addition, all of the guitar strings rest slightly above the fretboard. In short, "the neck" is already a technical term. It doesn't have a special name to make it sound fancier.
The double neck guitar you silly people...........:D

Sure! Gibson and Epiphone both have popular double neck models. You don't have to be a famous musician to own one but you might need to be a famous musician to afford one!
