How long is a Gibson Flying V?

24 and 3/4 inches is the scale length (distance from nut to bridge), not the overall length of a Gibson Flying V. I don't know the exact measurement, but it must be approximately 45 inches.Suggest you call a Gibson dealer with one in stock and ask them to measure it.Don't bother going to Gibson's web site because they don't list the overall length from tip of headstock to bottom tip of wings.

What are the strings at the bottom of the snare drum?

What are the dimensions of a Gibson flying v?

I don't have access to a Gibson Flying V right now but here are the dimensions I've been able to gather. I'm also making one. Most of my measurements are from a 1958 Korina. NECK: Headstock 7" tip to nut Headstock angle 17 degrees Scale length 24.75" Fretboard length 17.8" from nut to 22nd fret. board should be ~18" Fretboard Width 1 11/16" at nut 2 1/4" at 22nd fret BODY: Centerline Length 11 1/4" from the crotch of the V to the point where the upper curves end Width of body at shoulders (by neck).. where the curves turn into the outside strait length of the wings. 4 25/32" Curve radius for wings and crotch 1" radius (they follow contour of a 2" diameter circle) Outside Length of wings 19" flat.. from the start of the curves Height of wing, from centerline to the topmost or bottom most point of wings. 8 11/32" thickness of body 1 3/4" (I'd verify this if I were you) Blueprints are available online if you look around. There is a vendor on Amazon but they don't specify whether they're based off the '58 Korina or later models. There are also several vendors who sell templates.

What is the difference between a fender telecaster and a fender stratocaster?

Epiphone is to Gibson like Adult Swim is to Cartoon network. Gibson is Epiphone's parent company. Gibson runs Epiphone. Epiphone make toned-down versions of Gibson guitars that are substantially cheaper and still have excelent quality. If you're looking to buy a Gibson but don't have a few grand to spend, buy an Epiphone and you will be very happy. Most people can't even tell the difference. Epiphone is the same thing as Gibson, but epiphone has the right to make the same guitars as Gibson, but just for smaller prices.
