With premium sound system you have to bypass the factory amplifier and pretty much splice into the factory wires after the amplifier. A good place for questions is the www.clublexus.com forums or the www.lexusownersclub.com forums. Search the forums and your question has already been addressed. Myself i have a 1999 gs400.
you should replace the factory amplifier and that will solve your problem

Should be unless it is some micro-miniature thing that is (shot-welded) at the factory and not intended for repairs by changing defective parts- rather like calculators and some forms of transistor radios using printed micro-circuits.

The best place to find a schematic for the steering column is in a FACTORY SHOP MANUAL available from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM or MOTORLIT.COM.

The 2003 Lincoln Town Car factory amplifier is located in the trunk. The factory installed amplifier will be on the dividing wall between the back seat and the trunk.
A 2007 Chevy Avalanche will only have an external factory amplifier if it is equipped with a Bose stereo system. If there is a factory amp included, it will be underneath the center console.
No cars have factory amplifiers, though if it does its in the trunk
The fuse for the factory amplifier in a Ford Expedition is typically located in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side or in the fuse box in the engine compartment. You can identify the specific fuse for the amplifier by referencing the owner's manual, which contains a diagram and a list of fuses. Look for a fuse labeled "AMP" or "AUDIO" to find the correct one. Always ensure the vehicle is off before checking or replacing any fuses.
If you are trying to put in a new stereo I have your answer. The 96 continental that i have ( i am assuming that yours being a year older is the same) came with a factory amplifier. Thus, the stereo head unit is wired directly this amplifier ( unlike standard stereos which have speakers directly wired to the head unit. This amplifier is located in the trunk, you must remove the top panel in the trunk closest to the back seats to acess it. From the amplifier the wires run to the four door panel speakers. Once you acess this amplifier you can proceed with any modifications that you wish to make. mkelly12@ramapo.edu
