He doesn't seem to be faithful to any one brand of anything for too long before switching it. He has signature Guitars and amps and equipment from all kinds of different companies and sponsors that he uses.

Correct, if we lived in 1984......In 2012, however, Eddie uses EVH Wolfgang USA Guitars with EVH Humbucking Pickups, Floyd Rose Tremolos, Ebony Fretboards, a Drop D-Tuna, a "Kill Button", Pearl inlays, EVH Potentiometers, EVH Cords, EVH Herc Picks, EVH Strings, an EVH Flanger, an EVH Wah Pedal, and 5150 3 Series Heads and Amps. On the 2012 Album, he only used a Kramer Guitar (Ripley Model) on 1 song (Blood and Fire)....the rest were EVH Wolfgangs, as described above, in the same Stealth Model he uses almost exclusively on the current tour.

depends on the era you want of van halen , now he's got these custom ones out in his new Wolfgang guitars but in the early days he actually made his own by re-winging and changing magnets in his is what this forum about his signature sound told me.

get a peavy 5150 and you'll be much closer to his sound than any set of pickups will, a kramer with the right woods wouldn't hurt either because remember just because you got Eddies pickups from your favorite era doesn't mean sh** you have to match ALL of his guitar specs to get his sound ...down to strings and amplifier.

Most often, it is a EVH Wolfgang USA Stealth with a Floyd Rose tremolo. Visit EVH official gear site and look for the most expensive Black Wolgang Guitar with a Whammy bar.....that's what he plays live and on almost every song on new album.

On the album 1984 he used an Oberheim OB-Xa, after that I'm not sure.
