An "upright grand" piano is simply a big old upright piano. The term was common in the early part of the twentieth century and was intended to infer a sense of higher quality than the rather ordinary term "upright piano" (and was often used by manufacturers of lower quality instruments). "Cabinet grand" was a similar term applied to upright pianos. I think the bass strings of an upright grand are longer than in plain upright.
Baby grand piano (generally under 5 feet) weigh in at about 475 pounds. Parlor grand pianos (about 5'6") weigh about 525 pounds. A full concert grand piano at 9 feet or longer can weigh as much as 1000 pounds.
There is a big cast-iron frame inside, mounted on a sound board, over which the strings are tensioned to phemoninal poundage. Only cast-iron can take the strain. Add to that the key and hammer assemblies. Then the piano is clad in thick, dense wood to add depth and life to the tone.
The ISBN of The Piano Tuner is 1-400-03038-2.

Gases emits light. When an electric current is passed through a gas, the gas emits light. For ex. Fluorescent lamps, neon lamps. In case of sun, most of the photons are released from the surface of the sun with wavelength 400 and 700nm, so we are able to see light that the sun emits.
