The "real" Clair was, in fact, the infant daughter of O'Sullivan's producer-manager, Gordon Mills, and the little girl's giggling is heard at the end of the song. I expect she did enjoy the fame as a young child. As to where she is now, I haven't the foggiest idea. Hopefully somebody out there knows.
