Loretta Lynn has talked about writing a 3rd book, and having a sequel to the film "Coal Miners Daughter," also made. Now, for over 30 years Loretta Lynn has wanted to record a new version of her hit record, "Coal Miner's Daughter." Loretta explains, "I wrote about 8 verses to the song, but my producer Owen Bradley told me it was too much, and would run over 5 and a half minutes. And back in that day, the most time any song could get was 3 minutes, and even that was too long for some country music fans to have to listen to. But, one of these days, I want to go back into the studio, and put the 3 verses I had to cut out of the song back into the song." Loretta's first released book was, "Coal Miner's Daughter," and her second book was, "Still Woman Enough." Loretta Lynn is 79 years old now, and not in the best of health. Whether she can fulfill the 3 goals she wants to meet: a new book, a new movie, and a new recording. All of us, who are fans of the Queen of Country Music, will just have to wait and see what happens.
Daddy's Song was created in 1968.
