One the face of the radio on both the left and right there should be two small flaps that fli[ open. After open use a hex tool to loosen. You may need a special tool if the hex fails. Next pull the radio out and disconnect the wire. Before doing any work on the radio though disconnect the battery.

On my 1991 Grand Cherokee the TPS is a black plastic plug on the back of the throttle body. It is the one the plug goes straight into from the firewall side. The Air Idle Control valve is mounted on the valve cover side of the throttle body with a small plug the plugs in from the driver side. The screws on both are T-20 torx on mine. The TPS screws were installed with green locktite so I had to destroy the sensor to remove them. I replaced them with hex head bolts and lock washers so I wont destroy any more of my torx bits trying to remove them. I didnt use any locktite either. Tip: Remove the entire throttle body to work on TPS and Air Idle valves. It is much easier and a replacement gasket for the throttle body was only $1.99 at Auto Zone.

Phillips head screwdrivers only work on Phillips head screws--which are ones with an "x" indentation on the head of the screw. A straight screwdriver works on screws with a single line indentation on the head of the screw.
you need to unscrew the 4 hex head screws in each corner, then use a radio removal key (or 4 pieces of wire about 2.5mm thick) insert into each hole. this unclips a clip in each hole and lets the radio slide out
