Miles played a Heim mouthpiece, first given to him by Clark Terry. Since then he eschewed other mouthpieces and when possible always used the Heim brand, which later was absorbed by Holton. Allegedly Sony asked Kanstul recently to make a series of 2000 replicas of that particular mouthpiece, to be sold with a memorial edition of Miles' records - but I couldn't get confirmation on that by neither Kanstul nor Sony. As an amateur trumpeter and Miles fan I would be very interested. Robbert Keegel

A trumpist. I know because I play the trumpet...:)
A trumpet that plays naturally in the key of Eb. (It can be played in other keys, but the scores are basically musical workarounds.) An Eb trumpet is used mostly by pros. It's harder to play in tune, about 1/3rd smaller than the standard student model Bb trumpet. Eb trumpets are mostly used to play solos.
Trumpet.
It depends on what you mean. But in general, the Trumpet, Tuba, Valve Trombone, and French Horn are all similar to the trumpet in the way they operate, but they don't all play the same clef

Sound it out! Record it, and play it. Play it on the trumpet until you get it right. Keep trying. Remember, the trumpet only has 3 keys!
you get the trumpet then you roll it.

That's a very broad question. A trumpet can play in almost any type of performance.
