Jimmy Page and Robert Plant with Najma Akhtar and the London Symphony Orchestra 1994.
Led Zeppelin is a tough band to cover; the best I've ever heard are Heart's version of "Rock And Roll" (Ann Wilson comes closer to Robert Plant than most male vocalists can!), Godsmack's cover of "Good Times, Bad Times," and 4 Non Blondes version of "Misty Mountain Hop." I've heard a what I would call poor cover of D'yer Mak'er. I've also heard a rapper's song "based" on Kashmir, it wasn't that great, I think the rapper was Snoop Dogg, all I know is that he's popular There's probably a lot more because Led Zeppelin is a great band, but I can't answer it all. Look up some of these on Youtube, you'll find them.
The Fleetwoods - Unchained melody A capella version
Yes, it is. It's a new acoustic version of the 1982 original
Yes, Rolf does sing a wonderful version of the Zeppelin classic, in his own inimitable style.Rolf's version came about as a result of his appearance on an Australian TV Game Show called The Money Or The Gun. Some bright spark hit on the idea of every musical guest singing a version of 'Stairway' in their own style. The result was a queue round the block of artists and bands clamouring to appear - and a twenty-two track album showcasing the best versions, including Rolf of course, and also The Australian Doors who made the song fit the rhythm and melody of Light My Fire, and The Beatnix, who fitted it snugly into the sound of almost every Beatles hit!
