"Siegfried" is the third Opera in Richard Wagner's monumental cycle, "Der Ring des Nibelungen." It follows the story of the young hero Siegfried, who forges a sword to defeat the dragon Fafner and claims the treasure guarded by the beast, including a magical ring. The opera explores themes of heroism, love, and destiny, as Siegfried discovers his identity and attempts to awaken the sleeping Valkyrie Brünnhilde. Ultimately, it sets the stage for the unfolding drama of the subsequent operas in the Ring cycle.
