The main reason Hank Williams, Sr., was famous is that he considered himself just a plain and down to earth country boy. He never looked down on anybody. When he became famous, he still let his fans know that, "he was just one of them." He never considered himself a "big star, or had to have that special star treatment" ~ unlike alot of the Country Music singers of today.

The songs he wrote and recorded gave the fans a special message. It was, "I write and sing the music for you, not because I'm something special. But, because I am just like you."
