There are lots of great campfire songs that are good for a uke.
Kumby ya
Michael Row the Boat ashore
Lord of the Dance
I've put a couple links below of some good web sites with campfire songs.
And the nice part is once everyone is singing, they won't hear the uke that much, so a mistake is not that bad a thing.
It would depend entirely on the composition. The biggest danger is that the trumpet is going to overwhelm the clarinet and both of them are going to over power the ukulele. You would have to amplify the ukulele, but they are all musical instruments and they can be blended. It won't be easy, but it can be done.
It will depend partially on the type of sound one is looking for. Train uses a Tenor sized ukulele, but a concert size would also be a good fit.
A basic beginners' ukulele can be purchased inexpensively for less than $50. If you are serious about playing, I'd spend a bit more. There are dozens of good companies out there. My first 'new' ukulele was a Lanakai Tenor.
The ukulele chords for "good morning" in the movie "singing in the rain" are: B F# B F# B D# F#
Good Children Eat Apples George Clooney Eats Acorns
Church camp
There are lots of questions. How old is the ukulele? What is an ukulele made of?How do you tune an ukulele?

A ukulele is pretty inexpensive, as little as $20 in most places and that is more than enough to get you started. There are hundreds of YouTube videos that can help you learn to string, tune and play the ukulele. Share a couple of good ukulele videos with your dad and say you want to learn to play like that! I would recommend Jake Shimabukuro as a serious musician and not a comedy routine. The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is another good one to share. And check YouTube for videos of ukulele players doing one of your dad's favorite songs.
I am not aware of Queen ever using an ukulele in their music. There is a very good rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody performed by Jake Shimabukuro on ukulele. Look for it on YouTube.

Probably not as large, but there are numerous ukulele sites to check out. Ukulele Underground is pretty good, with lots of videos and help. They have free online lessons on Wednesday nights!
The good old bucket of water on the top of a door prank. :)
