someone who likes Bob Marley music is simply someone with good taste
(LOVE this question by the way!)There are a lot of ways music can affect a person's life. It can change their mood easily, it can become someone's life if they want it in their career, and it can save someone if they feel suicidal, because it can give them a reason to live. On the other hand, music can distract a person, whether the person's driving or working or anything, and can risk their life. A lot can happen because of music.

Someone who loves music is most frequently called a music lover. One could use the word aesthete or (in the U.S.) esthete to refer to someone who has--or claims to have--a refined appreciation and love of beauty in art, music, poetry, nature, etc. Mélomane is a French word for music lover, but it is not in common usage in the U.S., at least.

It varies from person to person. Many never become successful in the industry. It will happen faster if you are passionate, talented, and have connections.
Well, it depends. Does this person like the punk style, also? If so, then that person would be described as punk. If that person just likes the music, then they would be described as, well, someone who likes punk music.
