Type your answer here... I have just purchased that Silvertone Guitar Model 319.60609. Some research had found it dating to 1959. Not confirmed. It would be a student scale size guitar.

I may be wrong, but ibelieve the last 2 digits are for the year. in this case, it may be 1969.

Well considering the Silvertone Guitar was made at around the same time as the Skittle Trumpet which was created by professional Trumpeter David Smith, it would be approximately 56 years old.
if your talking about silverburst guitars their great i have an epiphone les paul silverburst and it is awsome. It feels great when i play and it sounds great too. So yes they are good. No silvertone guitars are very cheap and they suck The modern line of Silvertone guitars are very cheap and ideal for a first guitar or a beginner. The vintage line of Silvertone guitars are awesome and can be expensive and hard to come by.

At that price the guitars are equally flawed and the decision is left to the individual's perspective. Personally, a starcaster would be my choice for a safe purchase. Silvertone is less known. Honestly, they're both decent.
