i've got a simpelfied version of the book from my english teacher. i've read it in one go because it was so short and easy. Charles Dickens wanted to give people a chance to think about the lower classes of society. although he also highlighted the criminal intensity. personally i think that's kind of, what the story is based on.

For the most part, Oliver is a little sad. But he always remains hopeful. He is hopeful that he will find someone who loves him, which he never had. This is portrayed in the song "Where Is Love".
