You have to reset it, by holding down the menu button and the center button, then plug it in.

Why Won't My iTunes open?
This answer is only relevant if you are using a mac (next time please explian if you are using a mac or a pc) Maybe you need to copy iTunes into your applications folder. Search iTunes on the spotlight on the top right. As soon as you search it it should say iTunes - Applications. If it doesn't click show all and drag iTunes into your applications folder. If that doesn't work then maybe you need to update iTunes to the latest version. Click the apple button on the top right and click "Mac OSX Updates". It will take a moment to load and make sure it says iTunes somewhere in that list and click install. Let your computer restart (Its not reseting its just turning off and on so it installs updates (a.k.a.) fixes your iTunes as it turns back on.
